I have written a small Swing-based application that functions as a POP3 email client. When I am connected to my ISP over dialup from home, this program works fine and I am able to retrieve my email messages; however when I use the program from work (where my internet connection is over the office LAN), the attempt to connect fails with a MessagingException that is caused by a java.net.ConnectException: Connect Timed Out. Any ideas on what the issue is? TIA
