That's the complaint in Netscape's Java Console when I push the button
in my applet that simply opens the "real" frame. Here's the code that
runs when that button is pushed:
void bnMainApp_mouseClicked(MouseEvent e) {
FmView ff=new FmView();
txLawRankAppStatus.setText("Ranking application loading...");
ff.show();
ff.toFront();
txLawRankAppStatus.setText("Ranking application running");
}
There's a long delay before the first message shows up in the text box.
NS' status bar shows stuff about contacting the server, waiting for
reply, etc, which I don't understand, since presumably the whole JAR
file has already been dragged across the wire to start the applet in the
first place.
Perhaps there's stuff I don't understand about this. The entire
transacript from the Java Console is this:
# Error: Invalid digital signature file (-7885)
# jar file: d:\temp\jzipHKUA.TMP
# path: d:\temp\jzipHKUA.TMP
# Error: internal error - error in manifest file (-1)
# jar file: d:\temp\jzipHKUA.TMP
# path: /LawRank/
can't find resource for sun.awt.windows.awtLocalization_en_US
Using default MenuItem font
Hints and explanations would be very welcome.
Thanks.
