If you wish to seperate AFC to work with "OTHER" VM's.. such
as Sun's, or Borland's, you need 3 sections from Microsoft's
CLASSES.ZIP that comes with SDK 2.0 release.
com.ms.ui
com.ms.fx
com.ms.util.cab
You can package these up with JAR.EXE that ships with JBuilder, or Sun's
JDK 1.1.x. Use this
command while in the directory that contains the 'com' directory
(i.e. C:\TEMP if that's where you unzipped everything..)
JAR CVF AFC.JAR COM
This will create an archive AFC.JAR.. with COM as the directory to
process.. and which will automatically be parsed (every subdirectory
under
it).
Then, simply use the JAR in your CLASSPATH
set
CLASSPATH=C:\JDK1.1.4\LIB\AFC.JAR;C:\JDK1.1.4\LIB\CLASSES.ZIP
Your errors may have come from using ms/awt classes. Microsoft has
butchered Java code at will.
