Hi friends... I have a question. I need to start a development about Mobile Phones and Mobile Telephony Networks. I need to develop an application for getting information from the cell phone and cellular network, the data from cells etc I. Taht application will run inside a Mobile Phone. I found that Borland has a Jbuilder Mobile Edition. My questions are: 1) are there an API for doing this? 2) Jbuilder Mobile is the right tool for developing this? 3) where can i find more useful information? I surfed the web but the information is too spare... Thanks friends... Seba

If they will support WAP, would be easier. > I found that Borland has a Jbuilder Mobile Edition. > > My questions are: > > 1) are there an API for doing this? Doing what? Writing Cell Phone apps? Yes. Which J2ME features do the cell phones you are targeting support, if at all? Most modern cell phones support Java. But you will need to see which you are targeting (aka Nokia, Motorolla, Sony, etc). > 2) Jbuilder Mobile is the right tool for developing this? See above questions. This has to be determined first. > 3) where can i find more useful information? I surfed the web but the > information is too spare... > Look on the manufacturers site. For instance, here is a Nokia Development site with J2ME http://www.microjava.com/nokia
