Hallo,

I have to control an existing machine via a PC-Program and I want to
write this PC-Programm in JAVA.

I should have a full controll over the RS232.

Is it possible to read and write, byte by byte, to the RS232 in JAVA ?

(The machine don't support TCP/IP - the machine have only  a special
Firmware protocol)
