Admittedly, I am new to Java - I figured I'd give it some time to settle out a bit before jumping in. However, now that I have tried it, frustration seems to be the biggest problem. From what I can tell, using JDK1.1 - the only place you can expect to run an applet is either in the applet viewer or in the HotJava browser (which has its own challenges). Am I missing the boat? How much longer do I need to write for earlier versions?
