Canyon Note:  

There's two kinds of cash...  there's currency and then there's
non-currency cash like your checking and saving's account,
and the cash equivalents...  only currency is what can be taken
out of circulation, whle the noncurrency cash is only a 
reference to some unspecified currency, which, of course, 
is in circulation.
