Nobody else's : fault. If the venue can handle <n> people, all things considered, then you : don't sign up more than <n> people. If you do, you blew it; don't pass the : buck. It's not CU's obligation to provide parking for non-CU events. PK : had trouble last year because (among other things) they draw a significant : number of folks who have no regard for laws or the needs of the community : in which they're guests. It's tough for PK to deal with that, but they must. Um, I would almost bet money that CU had to know how many people PK had signed up or at least had a good estimate. Should not CU have turned PK away if their parking situation would not handle the number of cars/people expected. In a blue moon, CU might do such a thing. I think it shows that CU wants PK's MONEY more than they care about the community of Boulder. PK shares blame in a case of overcrowding but CU is definitely at fault here as well. (Please note my other post regarding the Intervarsity Christian Fellowship's annual convention at the University of Illinois - Urbana, IL) : Different sorts of events require different amounts of parking...it depends : on the number of people per car and such. Exactly. CU built a stadium designed to handle many more people than their parking space will allow. They built a stadium for CAMPUS events and rent it out to non-campus users like PK. They have no experience with a group this big and yet they want the revenue. Meanwhile the city of Boulder is victimized by CU's poor planning of such an event. -- Nathan N.
