Just a thought here... I was a guest of a researcher the past weekend in the chemistry building at uc.berkeley.I was appalled by the lack of safety there. It could have been the open bottles of various chemicals,or the highly toxic dye for dye lasers pumped by a cvl draining into an open tupperware-like pan,or the organic wastes draining through a GLASS pipe directly over my head (situated directly on the Hayward Fault) from ALL the labs in the building,or the massive amount of water used that drains into the sewer contaminated,I walked away horrified for my friend and her working environment.Who is supposed to regulate this? No safety at all. I thank GOD that I work in private industry. Jeff Standard Disclaimer Applies
