The below quote, from probably the most courageous and principled defender of the Second Amendment I've had the privilege of knowing, Mrs. Tanya Metaksa, former NRA-ILA Director. This one sums up this issue of political realities completely, at least for me... "...[I]f you're a Second Amendment champion, you'd better be ready for the long haul. When I look into the Second Amendment's future, I see every one of you, but let me be perfectly honest. I see your children too, and grandchildren (yours and mine), and your great grandchildren. Because this one, this one is the long one. No quick fixes, no cheap way outs, no silver bullets... just one very, very long haul that will outlast us all..." That's called truth, which is in stark contrast to the cheap, crybaby, lazy, empty, and inflammatory rhetoric of Brian Puckett and KABA. No silver bullets. No magic pills. If you aren't willing to do the hard work of changing political reality (that's by getting off your behind and doing something other than surfing web sites or making outrageous statements), if you don't have the personal fortitude to actually DO something about it politically (instead of bitching and moaning), then at least stay out of the way of those who are. Mrs. Metaksa made that statement to the Golden Gate United NRA Members' Council in San Francisco on April 8, 1999. The entire speech can be read here... http://nrawinningteam.com/tm/cadream3.html Full-color report from that event... http://nrawinningteam.com/ggvisit/ ...and the entire 1998-1999 Tanya Metaksa "California Dreamin'" series can be viewed at... http://nrawinningteam.com/tm/
