SAVE HUNTING

In 1999, a small band of animal rightists backed by big money, whipped
the Ontario government into submission and humiliated pro-hunting
organizizations. Hunters were surprised by this because of Ontario's
healthy bear population, officially set at about 100,000. Hunting didn't
diminish their number, according to government biologists. But the
potiticians, it turned out, were roadkill. Faced with the threat of
losing there jobs, they panicked and persuaded Conservation Premier Mike
Harris to cave in......

BC is next on their list:
This group has put up $2.2 million to bring about an end to
hunting...They are working internationally and provincially to achieve
this.
