Well, it finally happened. My car has four tinted side windows and one
tinted back window. I got them tinted when I lived in Arizona, and
have been living here two years. I finally got pulled over and was
told to take the tinting off the two front windows.
Besides the obvious UV protection, I like the tinting on my windows and
don't want to take it off! Has anyone else in Netland had this problem?
Is there any way around this? The ticket looks correct, with one
exception: the officer checked "traffic " violation, when this seems
to be "non-traffic." But I don't think that is enough to get the
ticket thrown out. Besides, the judge would ask me if the windows
are tinted, and I would have to say "yes."
Is there any stipulation in the law about where the car was bought, etc,
since I bought it in Arizona?
If you or anyone you know has gotten around this problem, please
email me! Thank you!
