We have some rain up here -- at times it's very heavy -- but it's
nothing like what the TV has shown as happening in San Fernando Valley
(and the tv was even good enough not be be playing "It never rains in
Southern California" when they showed the pictures....) 

We had some sunshine between rain periods.  It has been raining most of
the late afernoon and evening.  Amount of rainfall -- ??
