You don't remember the first time? Here's another chance.

The West Coast chapter of the Goon Show Preservation Society
(heretofore GSPS) will get together this Sunday and do what it usually
does. Ceremonies to commence at 6PM Sunday chez-moi.

If you know what the hell this is all about, please call Jeff Kallis at
(415) 285 8844 or moi-meme at (408) 922 6325, or (415) 661 0970, or
reply to jdoskow@tymnet.COM if you must.

Please don't feel shy if you are not currently a member of GSPS. Our
standards are low enough to accommodate most mammals. Just bring
lots of money (I'm the treasurer.)

  * For those of you who don't know what a Goon Show is, or worse yet,
  * are in danger of confusing it with the Gong Show and are planning to
  * bring your chicken suit, be advised. The Goon Shows appeared on
  * British Radio shortly following WW II and were the spiritual parents
  * of much of what followed, Beyond the Fringe and the Flying Circus
  * come immediately to mind. They became known stateside in the early
  * '60s when Commie radio stations broadcast them in a largely
  * successful attempt to turn the moral fiber of our youth to jello.
  * Some of us have never recovered.
