My roommate (from Tulare) likes talking about how wasteful Southern
Californians are with their water.  He takes 20-30 minute showers, he hand
washes all of his dishes (and leaves the water running the entire time) before
putting the dishes through the dishwasher (and he sometimes runs the dish-
washer twice because he "couldn't remember" if he had run it yet).  Since I've
pointed these abuses out, he's stopped complaining about Southern Californian
water waste in front of me.  He has not, however, changed any of these
practices...
