Ah, but some of the areas getting huge rains have been filling the reservoirs
-- witness Santa Barbara and Ventura counties. As for LA, what fills the LA
River is storm drain and street runoff -- otherwise known as toxic urban
runoff -- as it contains lawn pesticides and road droppings. This is not the
sort of stuff you turn into drinking water.
