We are looking to hire Macintosh and IBM Computer Counsellors for John
Abbott Computer Camp, located on the John Abbott College campus in
Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue. John Abbott Computer Camp is a day camp
which runs for eight weeks each summer, starting the end of June.
Campers spend half the day in our computer labs and half the day in outdoor
activities. As a computer counsellor you would teach two classes daily of 
between six and eight children, aged eight to sixteen helping them develop
projects in areas like the internet, multimedia applications, graphics
and programming, HyperCard, Cinemation and other software.

You should be very familiar with your chosen platform; preferably a
computer enthusiast who has played with a wide variety of software,
including animation, image-editing, sound-editing, and desktop publishing
applications. Knowledge of networking, telecommunications, image-scanning and
multimedia software would also be an asset, as would familiarity with the
Internet. You must have intermediate-level programming skills in at least 
one language, most preferably HyperTalk for the MAC, Visual Basic for 
the IBM, some other multimedia authoring tool, or LOGO.

At Computer Camp, personal skills are just as important to us as computer
skills. You have preferably had prior teaching/tutoring experience and
experience with children. You must be very creative, patient, motivated,
independent, and capable of working effectively with others in a
team-oriented environment. If you think you would make a valuable addition
