NOBLENET PRODUCTS

NobleNet has two product families, EZ-RPC and EZ-API. In addition, the
company serves as the North American distributor for Orbix, the market
leading CORBA compliant object request broker (ORB).

EZ-RPC, a rapid prototyping compiler (code generator), allows ordinary
application and drag-and-drop programmers, who do not have any
communications programming expertise, to build sophisticated, three-tier,
client-server applications. The product is based on and extends Open
Network Computing (ONC) Remote Procedure Call (RPC) technology and
External Data Representation (XDR).

EZ-API disperses industry-standard, component Application Programmer
Interfaces (API) into multi-tier, client-server architectures. The
first commercially available EZ-API product is the OneDriver ODBC SDK.
In its simplest implementation, OneDriver ODBC moves client-side ODBC
drivers up to the server. In more sophisticated implementations,
developers can enhance the functionality of the API, through programmer
exits, without disturbing the integrity of the standard.

Visit NobleNets website, http://www.noblenet.com/, for more detailed
product and company information.

EZ-RPC

For procedure-oriented programmers, NobleNet offers the EZ-RPC suite of
Software Development Kits (SDK), currently in use by over 200 companies.
These tools let application programmers quickly tie clients on any
combination of 40 platforms to servers on any combination of 40
platforms, including: Windows 3.1, Windows 95, Macintosh, OS/2, NT, UNIX
and VAX.

The Application Programming Interface, or API, of any module can be
"remoted" or distributed with no change whatsoever to the existing code.
For Windows developers, EZ-RPC creates a Windows DLL that contains the
complete API of the subsystem. This means that any Windows based
developer can use a "GUI" tool to access a server subsystem as if it
were local to the PC. Any module or subsystem written in C and
currently running on a Windows, or other supported client, can be
converted into a "network service" running on a UNIX server, with no
change to the API or code.

EZ-RPC is a next generation RPC SDK with extended features that allow
application programmers with little or no network programming experience
to build 3-tier, client-server applications. Also experienced network
programmers will enjoy substantial productivity gains (as much as 90%)
over programming directly to sockets or with a first generation tool.

ORBIX

For the C++, object-oriented programmer, we offer Orbix, the market
leading CORBA compliant Object Request Broker (ORB). Orbix, lightweight,
fast, and easy to use, is being used by over 1,000 developers at 400
sites.

In addition to being CORBA compliant, Orbix provides extensibility,
through smart proxies, filters, and loaders, to easily integrate modules
such as persistent data stores.

Orbix for Windows provides tight integration with Visual Basic/OLE. Thus
C++ objects on a Unix server can easily be integrated with Visual Basic
on Windows clients with no C or C++ programming required on the Windows
Client.

ONE DRIVER ODBC SDK

NobleNets OneDriver ODBC SDK extends the ODBC model for developers in
three important ways. First, database vendor specific ODBC drivers can
be relocated to a middle or application tier, rather than on each and
every client. Second, developers can rapidly develop their own ODBC
drivers using NobleNets innovative wrapper technology. Third, other
network services can be integrated into the database calls made by the
client programs.

The core of the NobleNet OneDriver ODBC SDK is a unique architecture that
relocates the ODBC API away from the Windows client onto any of 25
powerful UNIX platforms or Windows NT. The SDK includes all the
necessary communications software to connect Microsoft Windows 3.1, Win95,
and NT clients to these standard platforms over a standard TCP/IP
network. The OneDriver ODBC SDK works with any ODBC-compliant database,
as well as with front-end development tools such as PowerBuilder, Delphi,
Visual Basic, and Microsoft Access.

EZ-API

OneDriver ODBC SDK is NobleNets first in a family of commercially
available EZ-API products. Each EZ-API SDK disperses industry-standard,
component Application Programmer Interfaces (API) into a three-tier,
client-server architecture. Other named APIs currently under
consideration include (not limited to):
TSAPI - Telephony Services API (NetWare)
 TAPI - Telephony API
 SRAPI - Speech Recognition API
ODMA - Open Document Management API
ISAPI - Internet Services API (i.e. Netscape and MS Network plug and
play API)
XFN - X/Open Federated Naming API
NDS - NetWare Directory Services API
OLE- MS Object Linking and embedding API
Built with EZ-RPC, the EZ-API products likewise allow ordinary
application and drag-and-drop programmers to build sophisticated, three-
tier, client-server applications.
