TRUSTCO sounds interesting. More consumer oriented that others in the area. Can't remember what their name used to be. seems like every bank in town used to be something else. I also had an account at Northeast become Shamut become Fleet. I have a long standing animosity towards KEY. They were very large & impersonal & arrogant and acted like they were doing you a favor by letting you bank with them. In a very short period of time a ways back, accounts I had (personally & an organization's) at 1st American and Nat'l Savings became KEY Bank. I was not pleased. We're going to end up with just 2 banks in the capital district KEY and Fleet. It would be terrific to find one that gave a damn about consumers and offered them a good deal on checking and saving accts.
