To other moviegoers in the Capital District -- If you're looking for a movie theater with digital sound, check out the Madison Theater in Albany. They've got DTS in one theater and Dolby Digital in another. And amazingly, they tell you on their recording (489-5431) which movies are being shown with digital sound. Now I'll admit, the Madison doesn't have a lot going for it. There's no parking, you have to wait outside to buy tickets, and they hacked one large theater into five small ones. But for a well-focused picture and digital sound (with stereo surrounds), I can put up with those things. For what it's worth, the Hoyts at Crossgates has one theater with DTS, but their speakers sounded terrible during the DTS trailer. Proctor's is also supposed to have DTS, but I rarely see movies there. For more information about DTS and Dolby Digital, check out www.dtstech.com and www.dolby.com, respectively. ------------------+-------------------------------------------------------- Joe Schwartz | My bumper sticker on the Information Superhighway: 5 Broadway #407 | Troy, NY 12180 | Harry Browne for President: The Third Candidate in 1996 xor@globalone.net | For information, read http://www.HarryBrowne96.org/
