Does anyone out there know of any inside ways to get a job in the Cap
Dist? [academic data deleted] So far, the whole engineering job search
has been quite disappointing (not just the cap dist)
You might contact the folks at the Center for Economic Growth in Albany
(465-8975). Ask them if
they have any lists of small technical companies they could make available
to you
programs related to recruiting
have a list of local recruiting firms
know of any resume posting services
In theory, they aren't in the recruiting business, but they are interested
in keeping local companies growing and staying in the region. Part of that
means hooking up the labor force with the people who have jobs to offer.
You might also try posting your resume to appropriate capdist or rpi groups,
although I suspect most Cap Dist companies aren't wired. I'm all for
creating a list of Capital District technical firms (engineering, computer,
etc). Anybody else want to participate?
As an aside, what's the difference between capdist.misc and capdist.general?
Isn't one or the other enough?
