I never said internet service was a right, I never claimed it was
anything but a commodity. However, you must realize its a monopoly
commodity. There was a time when the telephone company owned all the
lines going into your home, and you HAD to buy or lease their
telephones to put on those lines. You had to have permission for each
any every thing you connected to their lines. These things are no
longer the case because it was found that the phone company was
exterting undue control over its customers. The issue with the cable
modem is very much like that. When a company has no competition, and
then uses their monopoly to control their consumers, its wrong. It
doesn't matter what the commodity is, its still wrong.

I hope you're happy with the service you get. I have never wished ill
will on anyone who uses the service. But its important that you know
the business practices that Time Warner Road Runner is currently
engaged in because they will effect you if and when you are a
customer. If you don't care for the warning, that's fine. Ignore it
all you want. I just hope they never overstep their boundries when
you're a customer.
