I am a staff writer for The Times Union and plan to do an article
within the next few weeks about how local people are using
the Internet.
Anyone who knows of people who are using it to do unusual 
or interesting research projects as opposed to just
communication could help with this project by sending me an
E-mail message describing the project and how to get in touch
with those involved in it.
As an Internet fan myself, I think an article like this could
help drum up support locally for the "Superhighway" idea
that the Clinton-Gore administration has proposed.
The vast majority of Americans have no idea, or perhaps only
a vague idea of what the Internet is and can become.

Any help will be greatly appreciated and no one's privacy
will be violated.
