"hipcap"- haven't heard that in a while. Does AT&T even have special
people for DSL stuff? I just know the days of making a bid deal over data
circuits is over, and people even got upset when I was stull using
red/white crossconnect as I was "messing up" their colors or something
stupid like that.

I have no problem with house wiring, but I really can't think of a way to
identify these data circuits if they don't bother to tag them.

When I ordered ISDN they HAD to come inside to leave the orange tag on it,
but when it was switched over, they just did something at the pole which
was probably just testing.

It would be hillarious to try to get the script robots in india to throw
some tone on the line for me. The real support folks in Missouri can do
this, but it takes a while to get one of those people.

We'll see.

It seem that DSL stuff is just some sort of PPP-ish deal and it doesn't
matter what line you use as long as you can authenticate. The new uverse
DSL modem from motorola is a little 1different from the the old
speedstream 4x000 stuff I've come across.
