The clout project provides email service in the .chi.il.us domain
for many sites in the Chicago area. Some sites listed above forward
mail and files to other clout sites. For more information about
clout or to report problems send email to postmaster@clout.chi.il.us.

Unusual conditions noted by Postmaster Of The Month or clout system
administrators for this week:

A user at site gagme is now accepting the votes for a proposed newsgroup
(rec.radio.broadcasting). On one occasion a large quantity of ftpmailed
source files filled all available spool space again in the past week.

Users of ftpmail (obtaining source files from internet sites via email)
are again reminded that storage space on clout is a limited resource and
that most important source code can be obtained locally or is available
on CDROM. Please ask your system administrator to contact neighboring
sites before requesting large files. If you must use ftpmail please
spread your requests out over several days to help reduce system loads.
