I believe that an article posted separately to 20 newsgroups (20 posts)
has a BI of 20, which qualifies for spam cancellation under standard
Big 7 practice.

Zbig is right about this.  If your newsreader cannot handle crossposts,
get a better newsreader.

I have the following line in my ~/News/KILL file:

/^Newsgroups:.*,.*,.*,.*,.*/h:j

I magically *never* see crossposts to more than four newsgroups.  This
is a very simple and easily implemented solution to the velveeta problem.
