You remote host (Taylor) needs to increase his packet size as well, but
fortunately he didn't ... Waffle's Uucico will accept a 1024 bytes connection
and crash. His maximum usable packet size is 512 bytes.

You need to setup other parameters in Taylor Uucp for Waffle compatibility.
Force the remote-packet-size and disable short packets.

MNP and 64 bytes packets aren't good friends, but you don't need to disable
anything at V42 with large packets.
