There are many people running FX successfully under DV, with and wihout
FOSSIL.

Most problems I've heard, are because people push the DTE speed and the
throughout with FX, too high for their multiltasking system. You probably
can't connect at 57,600 bps in DV without a 16550A uart. Large packets and
the streaming protocols requiere a better flow control.
