Um. And where are these two-hour traffic jams? I-77 doesn't count. There's
construction there. And I haven't seen two-hour traffic jams on any other
major highway, and I drive 'em all. Actually, even in traffic over the
Kingsbury Run construction on 77, you're only going to be sitting for 15-20
minutes.

No, the real two-hour traffic jams are further west (for example, a 45-min.
drive from downtown Chicago to my hotel in the southwest suburbs took 2h45m
in traffic in the summer of 1994). Or try driving L.A. Or try driving the
Poplar Street Bridge in St Louis. It carries traffic from six highways
across the Mississippi -- Interstates 55, 57, 64 and 70, US 40 and... ummm..
US 67, I think. That's fun to drive during rush hour.

The winters are pretty harsh -- but that's never bothered me personally.
Just learn how to drive in the snow before you come up here. (You'll thank
me later.)

If you DON'T like harsh winters, don't come.

I could tell you lots about the city. Got a few hours?

The people here, from what I've been told, seem to be more hurried than
people on the west coast but still a lot more laid back than people out East.

Regarding housing - do you want to live in the city, the suburbs or the
country? How much do you want to pay? How close do you want to be to downtown?
