As posted previously on the Usenet newsgroup rec.music.dementia, I am
attempting to drum up some support for a live appearance by syndicated
radio host "Dr. Demento" at Lakeland Community College.

The "Doctor" presents many different types of live multimedia shows based
on his successful 25-year radio program (heard in town on WNCX 98.5 Sundays
at midnight)...He has previously appeared in town at Flats establishments,
and is now with an agency dealing more in the arts/educational field, hence
a college being the target location.

I invite anyone who has a second to make a call to Lakeland's Campus
Activities Board, to Email me for the # of that dept and call in a request
for a live appearance by Dr Demento at the Performing Arts Center there...I
will be following up in person with the head of that department to
hopefully "seal" it, but community support for this program would be very
helpful.

To clarify, I'm simply a Dr D fan, and have been on his show in the past,
and am not involved in any way as an agent or otherwise, just want to get
him in here in town as he is in fact touring colleges this spring...

Thanks in advance.
