Those would be irc.cris.com (east central Michigan), irc.mcs.net and irc.ais.net (Chicago, but I can't always connect to them), and irc.epix.net (eastern Pennsylvania). While geographically close doesn't always mean Internet close (due to the fact that there may be more hops from your computer to the geographically close server than to one further away), irc.cris.com seems to work best for me. Usually very minimal lag, too. irc.neosoft.com in Houston is also pretty good. -- North Shore Technologies Ask me about the Steve Sobol, Principal 1875 East 40th Street I-WAY series of WWW Consulting & Cleveland, OH 44103-3552 Internet-ready Computer Sales e-mail: info@nstc.com personal computers sjsobol@nstc.com
