Would someone please help me with the following problems. Let's say that I have the following data in EXCEL: 1 3 2 4 8 5 2 1 9 4 3 4 4 3 4 3 3 Note that Column A has one missing value, and column B has two missing values (blank cells). When I use any of the correlation, stdevp, average, etc. functions with this type of data (i.e., blank cells), I get a listwise deletion of cases, and a correct calculation to my problem. However, when using regression or correlation from the analysis toolpak, or the linest regression function, I get a #VALUE! returned. Given that regression and correlation are closely associated, why do the two behave so differently. Is there some kind of macro that I need to use to get around this problem. Thanks! -PC -- _______________________________________________ Internet: craiger@nprdc.navy.mil J. Philip Craiger, Ph.D.
