I can't figure out how to combine two columns of text in Excel 4.0. For example, if you have these two columns of text: aaa 123 bbb 123 ccc 123 ddd 123 and want to combine them to end up with: aaa123 bbb123 ccc123 ddd123 how would you do it? Thanks in advance. BobC.

Assuming that the letters are in A1 to A4 and the numbers
are in B1 to B4, the following works in Excel 3.0 so I guess
it also will do the trick in Excel 4.0:
=A1&B1
=A2&B2
=A3&B3
=A4&B4
in C1 to C4 returns the following:
aaa123
bbb123
ccc123
ddd123
