We developed an embedded system application that, for performance reasons, depends on the tape drive supporting the SCSI COPY (18h) command for disk<->tape xfer. We had been using WangDAT 3100/3200 DAT drives but, effective with their firmware load 3.0, they no longer support the COPY command. They apparently made this change without notice, leaving OEMs like us in a bit of a bind. Unfortunately, it is beginning to look like nobody else supports COPY either. Is anyone aware of a drive that supports the SCSI COPY command? Thanks. John Sullivan ELECTRONOLOGY, INC. sullivan@einc.com
