We had been using | WangDAT 3100/3200 DAT drives but, effective with their firmware load 3.0, they no longer | support the COPY command. They apparently made this change without notice, leaving OEMs like | us in a bit of a bind. Unfortunately, it is beginning to look like nobody else supports | COPY either. | | Is anyone aware of a drive that supports the SCSI COPY command? Thanks. Almost universally, the disk and tape drive vendors are dropping this, since it was always problematic, and very few customers ever wanted it in the first place. Good luck... As slow as DAT drives are, I have trouble seeing this as being a performance bottleneck, unless you have no dma or hardware support in your system. -- Dave Olson, Silicon Graphics Guru and busybody at large http://reality.sgi.com/olson olson@sgi.com
