We have Had an SW800 (? Data center storage works cabinet)Installed for over a 
year now without any problems. It is attached to a 3 VAX VAXcluster with over 
50 RZ drives configured against 4 HSJs for fault tolerance. While we have not 
used RAID and have not had the need to remove and replace drives multiple 
times, we have been very happy with the product and continue to invest more in 
it.

What really jerks my chain is that it seems there is a very serious negative 
feeling toward DEC and while I have no vested interest in DEC as a company, it 
concerns me that DEC has only recently trying to turn the tide. Someone at DEC 
should take a hold of these PR problems in the same way that DEC engineering 
handles problems.

DEC continues to not "sell" their products (eg. Pathworks ) and is always to 
late to the game on getting their PCs the respect they deserve, but continue to 
market heavily products such as multia in such a way as to confuse everyone.
