I am not sure where this should be posted so I guessed.

I have a DAT backup tape done by a staff member using Syplus.  The trouble 
is at the time the backup was done a password was used and now the 
password cannot be recalled.  Syplus in the UK will fix the problem for 
us at a cost of $3000.  I would prefer not to have to resort to this.

Has anyone else had this problem, if so how was it rectified?  Can anyone 
offer any suggestions to get around the password ?
