I have two questions regarding multiported RAMs: 1) At what point does the arbitration for access to the RAM occur, outside the RAM, or at the actual address bit? 2) How are simultaneous accesses to the same addresses handled in the: a) read-read case b) read-write case c) write-write case, where read-read implies two processors reading from the same location, etc. Thanks for your help Neal Reizer nrr@sei.cmu.edu Software Engineering Institute (412) 268-2854
