Does anyone have any knowledge which may help me to build a system to
transfer data at high speed (1.5 Mbytes/sec and above) between a
SPARCstation (which has an sbus and a scsi) and an IBM mainframe (3090),
ES9000.
There appear to be a number of options.
SNA token ring ?
Channel ?
Escon ?
FDDI ?
Hyperchannel ?
Anything that might help would be appreciated - company names, publications,
etc. I anticipate that driver software is likely to be the trickiest and
potentially most time-consuming engineering problem.
[Apologies if this article turns out to get posted twice]
Thanks in advance.
