Chris Myers sends out a wuarchive report every month. I've taken out the 'file transfer speed, by country' report and sorted it, thought you all would be interested in the results. If you stare at the numbers some conclusions are obvious - Germany is particularly badly connectd, but Switzerland is very well hooked to the US; educational US sites are better linked than commercial (no surprise), and the Milnet is about as well hooked up as the UK. (Or draw your own conclusions..) --Ed country #files #bytes avg speed za 2243 254002818 0.1 KB/s 0.14 0.11 gr 1218 152145797 0.3 KB/s 0.07 0.07 tw 9534 897295137 0.3 KB/s 0.58 0.40 in 45 7285206 0.4 KB/s 0.00 0.00 pl 499 55626870 0.4 KB/s 0.03 0.02 d 15 2646237 0.5 KB/s 0.00 0.00 in-addr-arp 20 1885369 0.5 KB/s 0.00 0.00 tn 1 1001 0.5 KB/s 0.00 0.00 cs 122 15086564 0.5 KB/s 0.01 0.01 hu 111 8386384 0.6 KB/s 0.01 0.00 pt 220 28900821 0.6 KB/s 0.01 0.01 kr 8842 793621152 0.6 KB/s 0.53 0.35 ie 741 96298373 0.7 KB/s 0.04 0.04 es 2309 310510693 0.7 KB/s 0.14 0.14 yu 55 5112356 0.8 KB/s 0.00 0.00 br 7885 810983282 0.8 KB/s 0.48 0.36 de 44006 5735585003 0.8 KB/s 2.66 2.54 bf 1 885 0.9 KB/s 0.00 0.00 be 1904 191255514 0.9 KB/s 0.12 0.08 il 5494 586232394 0.9 KB/s 0.33 0.26 at 8113 974299177 1.0 KB/s 0.49 0.43 sg 14809 1321627712 1.1 KB/s 0.90 0.58 fr 12166 1651135375 1.2 KB/s 0.74 0.73 ve 1 580000 1.3 KB/s 0.00 0.00 mx 5752 613641735 1.4 KB/s 0.35 0.27 nz 1889 235851776 1.5 KB/s 0.11 0.10 cl 3918 409890321 1.5 KB/s 0.24 0.18 net 4448 654645640 1.5 KB/s 0.27 0.29 unresolved 233391 30736396062 1.5 KB/s 14.11 13.59 no 8104 1073255356 1.7 KB/s 0.49 0.47 is 88 5363563 2.0 KB/s 0.01 0.00 mil 25487 4013518104 2.1 KB/s 1.54 1.77 uk 33987 4435119616 2.1 KB/s 2.06 1.96 hk 9310 1222936288 2.2 KB/s 0.56 0.54 ca 89949 11233370307 2.2 KB/s 5.44 4.97 nl 17344 2445913375 2.3 KB/s 1.05 1.08 au 29458 4004041787 2.3 KB/s 1.78 1.77 us 1293 68178544 2.5 KB/s 0.08 0.03 it 12641 1588538638 2.6 KB/s 0.76 0.70 ee 207 22883994 2.9 KB/s 0.01 0.01 arpa 553 70140134 3.0 KB/s 0.03 0.03 jp 7643 1052988575 3.4 KB/s 0.46 0.47 com 179801 26114964801 3.8 KB/s 10.87 11.54 dk 6988 882047927 5.2 KB/s 0.42 0.39 org 8194 1176115418 5.3 KB/s 0.50 0.52 fi 10955 1318727402 5.3 KB/s 0.66 0.58 se 10968 1610805387 5.4 KB/s 0.66 0.71 gov 51122 8249555337 5.5 KB/s 3.09 3.65 edu 754383 104470304846 5.9 KB/s 45.62 46.18 ch 14859 2140859302 7.1 KB/s 0.90 0.95 wustl.edu 10641 2476615611 39.8 KB/s 0.64 1.09
