Sextant 1.0b24, a Gopher protocol client for Macintosh, is now available
for anonymous ftp at ftp.brown.edu /pub/gopher/Sextant1.0b24.sea.hqx. This
version differs little from Sextant 1.0b21; the changes include

Sextant handles closed connections better when receiving files. It seems
a number of sites point Gopher clients to Finger servers which don't end
	files with a period.

Support for NCSA Telnet is better. Alternative ports are now supported
(actually, this was an omission before).

The bug that prevented Sextant 1.0b21 from working on Macintoshes
without Color QuickDraw has been fixed.

Support for Sextant's coexistance with UMN's Macintosh Gopher server
	has been removed.

When I began Sextant there was only a HyperCard Macintosh client, now we
have GopherApp, MacGopher, TurboGopher, and Sextant; few other protocols
offer this many client choices. There are many things to do to make Sextant
the type of Gopher client I want it to be; however, other matters are
pressing and so this will be the last update for sometime.
