IF somebody from RSI gets this, you should retrieve the file and include tvim
in your distribution, it is a much improved tvscl the other routines are
useful too.
The following IDL procedures were written at ESRG, UCSB, and are available
via anonymous ftp at esrg.ucsb.edu in /pub/idl/esrg_idl.tar.Z
MVE Produces mean, min, max, standard Dev. and size of a given var
COLOR_PAL Displays Color palette in separate window on screen
GLOBE_IMAGE Maps an image to a globe, then rotates the globe.
TVIM A fancier version of TVSCL which allows
for easy plot resizing, axis labeling and overploting,
and includes options for colored number scales.
This routine is used directly in TV_POLAR, and should
be used in conjunction with TRACE, GEN_COASTLINE and
COASTLINE.
STEP_CT Discreetizes color scale at given numerical intervals.
This routine is used by PUT_COLOR_SCALE.
PUT_COLOR_SCALE Draws a numbered color scale. This routine is used by
TVIM.
TRACE An interactive graphics procedure to find
the set of array indecies which correspond
to a user defined path. This routine is used by
GEN_COASTLINE.
TV_POLAR Display an image array defined in polar coordinates
(without resorting IDL's mapping routines).
GEN_COASTLINE Interactive graphic procedure used to generate
coastal outline map used in COASTLINE.
COASTLINE Superimpose coastal outlines over an image drawn
with TVIM.
LOCATE Given the coordinate arrays x(i,j) and y(i,j), LOCATE
finds the indices i0,j0 such the point (x(i0,j0),y(i0,j0))
is closest to a given point (x0,y0). This routine
is used by COASTLINE.
SUPERPIX Compute super pixel average and standard deviation
of a scene.
histo: produces the histogram or cumulative histogram of an array
in number or in percentage of the total number of values
selected in the array.
hilight: this procedure
- select values according to a user defined criterion,
- flashes the selected values,
- display the histogram of the selected values.
The criterion can be applied on the values of the input array
or driven by an another array. for instance:
1) locate in the array tab1, the values between 10 and 20.
2) locate in the array tab1, the values where tab2 is between
10 and 20.
