Thanks to Ken Wessen, the System 6.0.8L is now available
in the US. Until I find somebody with a better connected machine.
The system files can be found by anonymous ftp to my PC:
sumba.jou.utexas.edu (128.83.201.32).

The filenames are:
608lstart.hqx: the files from the system 6.0.8L startup disk,
608ladd.hqx: the files from the system 6.0.8L additions disk

Note that these are not image files of the original disks and
that I myself have not fully tested these files (They did decode
okay to the stuffit format on our Sun).

I might violate a copyright and if I do please let me know.
But, at least I can quote an Apple spokeswoman(MacWeek 10.19.92)
as saying:

>"There isn't a way to get it through Apple in the United States,"
>..."I think someone would have to get it in Canada if they wanted it."
>

Enjoy,
