What do you mean : "no backup is available" ?

Think logically. You have no backup and you are running in
noarchivelog mode. So what magic should we recommend to help you
recover the database?

it means he has no backup available, which means he is toast, database gone
practically.

Might just have to offline drop those datafiles and see where you are

Please. Don't be silly. If you have no backup; if you have no archives; if
you've lost data files, control files and online redo logs, your database
is toast. Period. End of discussion.

Everyone else has told you that you gambled and lost.

But I am wondering why you refer to yourself as a DBA when you
clearly acknowledge that (1) you do not have even the minimal
skill set required to be a DBA; and (2) why if you are responsible
for the database you did absolutely nothing required of a
reasonably responsible person in that position.

You have failed at your task and should resign in shame.

You have one and only one really long shot. There are a small number of
companies that can recover some of the data from a crashed drive. It is
expensive and there are no guarantees.

Dear all!
Your irritation is justifiable.Actually the problem is related to data
recovery.
I am sorry for not making it clear.
The problem is
My hardisk got completely dead and somehow I could recover the
datafiles but index datafiles and related control files could not be
recovered.
So now my question is can it possible to create new index files from
the now available datafiles.?
It could save lot of time and work for me otherwise I have to manually
create them.

Actually, you are making this up as you go along, aren't you?

First your "Databse is nonarchival mode", and four sentences later, we read
that " database in archival mode.".

Last post, you'd lost "two tablespaces, and two indexdatafiles and 2 control
files and 3 redologfils". Now its only index datafiles and control files.

Make up your mind.

Either describe the situation properly and precisely, and ask for help
accordingly, or post barely-literate messages with conflicting and changing
descriptions of the problem, and piss everybody off.

Your call.

Of course. The question is can you start the database and query the
tables?

If yes then what stops you from creating the indexes and control files?

But based on everything else in this thread ... I would advise you to
find someone that knows what they are doing to help you and give you
some training.

And please stop cross-posting this to every usenet group you can spell.
The only group where this is relevant is c.d.o.server.
