sorry for the cross post, but I am at wits end here..

I am connecting to a dbase file (not sure what version) through a VB
obdc connection.  Connecting and going through the records works
wonderfully, until I through in a WHERE clause (below is the SQL).

The field in question dtmodified is numeric (N).  This worked at one
point, and just seemed to flake out on me recently.  The field itself
is a time in seconds from the EPOCH.  Is there something with the type
conversion that I may be missing?

    sql = "select dtmodified FROM classa" _
            & " where (dtmodified > 1024617295)"

Without the where, I get all the rows, once I do the where it drops to
zero no matter what value I throw in there.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PS - I tried to cast the where as CAsT(1024617295 AS NUMERIC) by that
screws things up more than anything else.
