Hi there, I'm involved in a project that requires putting in a fiber backbone for a very large campus, we've talked about putting in 144 strands of 62.5 micron multimode fiber between buildings, but I'm wondering if its worth including single-mode fiber as well. Can anyone give me examples of applications that would require single-mode fiber which could not be accomplished with multi-mode fiber (videoconferencing??)? Also, should I be concerned about requesting specific grades of multi-mode fiber? (I have heard of "fddi grade", are there others?) Thanks in advance, Brian ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Brian Wolfe Associate Director Dept of Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine Rush Presbyterian-St. Lukes Medical Center Chicago, IL USA Internet: bwolfe@rad.rpslmc.edu Voice: (312)-942-2141 FAX: (312)-942-2114
