I don't use Microsoft Windows, or a Macintosh, how do I "register [my]
computer with COX" ?

Why do I need a 650MB CD-ROM to convey the information that could be
printed on a piece of paper?

>If you can accomplish that without installing the software great!!

_I_ can. As could anyone with a modicum of sense and the ability to
follow instructions.

What information, and where is it sent?

Why is this necessary?

I really doubt that each user receives a personalized CD-ROM. There is
another agenda here.

I don't use Microsoft Windows, or a Macintosh. Is this how COX intends
to prevent the use of unsupported (aka unauthorized) operating systems?

And just how much money is COX wasting on these "conversion kits"?
