I had Wingate for a while, but had some problems getting ICQ to work
with it. Anyway, my roommate found a program called NAT1000 at
http://www.nevod.com. Once this program is in place there is NO proxy
server parameters or any confusing configuration issues. Simply install
NAT1000 on the station connected to the cable modem. IT will replace
the binding for the NIC>TCP\IP listing in Network Properties. Then set
up the rest of the machines on the network to you own little intranet
and voila'..you are all on-line. As far as I can tell, even @home can't
tell your sharing..not that it's any of their business. Since they do
not currently offer multiple IP addresses why should they care.

Ps. To give you an idea how cool this company it, Nevod that is. I was
having some difficulty and I e-mail their tech support. Within 15-20
minutes they called me, on a Saturday afternoon, and stepped me through
getting things setup. And I only have there trial copy! We each
average 200-600BPS download rates. A couple of days ago I downloaded a
54MB file in under a minute!

Pps. We are using some very inexpensive network cards I found at Fry's
Electronics. They are $30 a piece and support both 10 and 100Base
networks.
