we are a mid size internet service provider and for our dialups, we use the total control "solution" > > 2. Load problems i.e What happens when the rack is totally loaded with > > all of the 60 modems working at 115kbps to the mid plane ? have had no problem with 48 modems loaded up. > > 3. Heat have had problems before due to environment surrounding the chassis. fan trays are a must have though. > > 4. Modem hangs i.e Quad Modems get mulfunctioned or require a reset ? yes we have gone through code upgrade after code upgrade and have to occassionally reset the netserver due to unexplained occurences that begin to crop up with new users trying to get on. we call this hosing up. at any rate no fix found yet, even with using teh auto response feature enabling. email me with any specific issues at jdeyo@iamerica.net
