Hi, We're trying to diagnose dropped ARAP connections on our 2511 and UDS v.34R system. Users can connect, but they will be dropped after a period of time. The time varies. Sometimes the connection will last for several hours, sometimes for minutes. The "sh li" doesn't show big problems with line noise, however the TACACS log shows noise on some of the lines at the initial connection attempt. Here's how we've got the lines configured: line 1 16 exec-timeout 0 0 login tacacs modem ri-is-cd arap enable arap zonelist 610 transport input all escape-character BREAK stopbits 1 rxspeed 38400 txspeed 38400 flowcontrol hardware dispatch-timeout 1 dispatch-character 126 Could the dispatch-character be biting us? (I don't think so, but we're starting to grab at straws.) Also, here's our modem configuration: at&v ACTIVE PROFILE: DTE SPEED = 38400 BPS E1 L2 M1 Q0 V1 X4 Y1 &C1 &D3 &G0 &L0 &M0 &P0 &R0 &S1 &T4 &X0 %B16 %C1 %E1 %R0 \A3 \C0 \G0 \J0 \K5 \M1 \N7 \Q3\Q6 \R1 \V0 \X0 *AN0 *DB0 *DG0 *FB0 *FT1 * LA0 *LC2 *MM0 *OR0 *RD0 S00:001 S01:000 S02:043 S03:013 S04:010 S05:008 S06:002 S07:030 S08:002 S09:006 S10:014 S11:080 S12:050 S16:00H S18:000 S25:005 S26:000 S28:015 S51:010 S52:000 S58:090 S62:000 S64:000 S69:016 S78:030 S79:035 S81:001 STORED PROFILE 0: DTE SPEED = 38400 BPS E1 L2 M1 Q0 V1 X4 Y1 &C1 &D3 &G0 &L0 &M0 &P0 &R0 &S1 &T4 &X0 %B16 %C1 %E1 %R0 \A3 \C0 \G0 \J0 \K5 \M1 \N7 \Q3\Q6 \R1 \V0 \X0 *AN0 *DB0 *DG0 *FB0 *FT1 * LA0 *LC2 *MM0 *OR0 *RD0 S00:001 S01:000 S02:043 S03:013 S04:010 S05:008 S06:002 S07:030 S08:002 S09:006 S10:014 S11:080 S12:050 S16:00H S18:000 S25:005 S26:000 S28:015 S51:010 S52:000 S58:090 S62:000 S64:000 S69:016 S78:030 S79:035 S81:001 STORED PROFILE 1: DTE SPEED = 9600 BPS E1 L2 M1 Q0 V1 X4 Y1 &C0 &D0 &G0 &L0 &M0 &P0 &R1 &S0 &T4 &X0 %B16 %C1 %E1 %R0 \A3 \C0 \G0 \J0 \K5 \M1 \N7 \Q1\Q1 \R1 \V0 \X0 *AN0 *DB0 *DG0 *FB0 *FT0 * LA0 *LC2 *MM0 *OR0 *RD0 S00:001 S01:000 S02:043 S03:013 S04:010 S05:008 S06:002 S07:030 S08:002 S09:006 S10:014 S11:080 S12:050 S16:00H S18:000 S25:005 S26:000 S28:015 S51:010 S52:000 S58:000 S62:000 S64:000 S69:016 S78:030 S79:035 S81:001 OK Thanks, Greg
